AirTrunk is set to build a new 110 megawatt (MW) data centre in West Tokyo, its second hyperscale facility in the Japanese capital and eighth facility in the region.
When it comes online, the new centre – called TOK2 – will bring AirTrunk’s total capacity in Japan to over 410 MW.
The location was selected to be ready to service “a major cloud availability zone” and to complement the existing TOK1 centre, which opened less than six months ago.
