AirTrunk\u2019s new facility is the first step in its wider growth strategy across the Asia-Pacific region and showcases the company\u2019s deployment speed, scalability, higher reliability, as well as cost and energy efficiency. <\/p>\n
This world-class facility is specifically designed for large cloud, content and enterprise customers looking for a secure and reliable way of processing and storing high volumes of information and content. <\/p>\n
Designed to the Australian Government\u2019s high security requirements, AirTrunk\u2019s hyperscale offering is uniquely built to the needs of its customers, with the ability to scale quickly in a cost-effective manner.<\/p>\n

AirTrunk Sydney is the company\u2019s first hyperscale data centre in the Asia Pacific and at a total capacity in excess of 80 megawatts of IT load when fully completed, it will be one of the largest carrier neutral data centres in the region, housing mission critical infrastructure for some of the world\u2019s biggest companies.<\/p>\n
Covering a mammoth 64,000 square metres of Western Sydney real estate, the new facility will have a positive impact on the local economy with hundreds of jobs created during construction and ongoing during operation. <\/p>\n
Minister for Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said the investment in the flagship hyperscale data storage facility is a sign of confidence from the major players that technology businesses belong in Western Sydney.<\/p>\n
Mr Ayres commented, “We\u2019re delighted AirTrunk has chosen Western Sydney for this massive investment – building this centre has created around 300 jobs and 180 more people will be employed here permanently once operational.\u201d<\/p>\n
