AirTrunk’s Chief Customer & Innovation Officer Damien Spillane joined the ‘AI making big businesses better’ panel at the first ever The Australian Financial Review AI Summit in Sydney.
Sharing the stage with Melanie Silva from Google; Kim Krogh Andersen from Telstra; Adam Bennett from Suncorp Group, and moderator Cosima Marriner, AFR Managing Editor, the discussion ranged from AI applications already in use, to its future benefits for business and society.
On the topic, Damien said: “We all want to see a vibrant AI ecosystem because AI is an enabler for the economy, business and society more broadly. To realise Australia’s AI ambition, it’s going to be a collaborative effort. At AirTrunk, we are prioritising sustainable and efficient operations including implementing liquid cooling innovation, as well as taking real action in support of the energy transition.”
Google & AirTrunk, along with renewable energy provider OX2, also recently announced a long-term PPA and the development of a new solar farm to add new renewable energy generation capacity to Australia’s energy grid.
