AirTrunk’s flagship Malaysia data centre JHB1, is set to open next week in Johor Bahru, ready to enable the acceleration of cloud and AI in the region.
Scalable to over 150MW and with integrated liquid cooling technology, JHB1 will bring significant investment, job creation and innovation to Malaysia as an AI hub. AirTrunk has already demonstrated its commitment to supporting the energy transition in Malaysia, announcing a renewable energy VPPA earlier this year.
Robin Khuda was quoted on AirTrunk’s entry and further expansion in Johor in a recent article by Financial Times.
The article positions Malaysia at the top of the list of Asia’s fastest-growing data centre markets, forecasted to make up two-thirds of South-East Asia’s data centre market by 2035. Johor’s economic growth, in particular, is expected to outpace national forecasts up to 2025, according to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.
Get ready for JHB1.
