AirTrunk’s Founder & CEO Robin Khuda took to the stage at The Tech Capital APAC Finance Forum in Jakarta for a chat with Tech Capital Managing Editor João Marques Lima.
Robin’s session ‘Resilience, Vision, and $24 Billion: Inside AirTrunk’s rise with CEO Robin Khuda’ saw him share his journey from arriving in Sydney as an 18-year-old, to building Asia Pacific and Japan’s leading hyperscale data centre platform, recently acquired by Blackstone, ready to supercharge AirTrunk’s regional growth.
Robin reflected on how when he founded AirTrunk, he envisioned a game-changer for hyperscale data centres in APAC—scalable, efficient, and sustainable solutions designed for the cloud. Challenges along the way taught him the value of resilience, the right partnerships, and staying true to AirTrunk’s vision.
Robin also discussed how sustainability has always been at the core of AirTrunk’s journey – from groundbreaking sustainable financing to innovations like liquid cooling. Highlighting the importance of giving back, Robin talked about AirTrunk’s social impact program that uses margin incentives from sustainable financing to make a difference across AirTrunk’s four pillars of STEM education, biodiversity & conservation, equal digital access and sustainable innovation.
