Robin at the The Australian Financial Review Property Summit

AirTrunk Founder and CEO Robin Khuda joined AFR Editor Cosima Marriner at the The Australian Financial Review Property Summit sharing insights into digital transformation in the region and the opportunity to ensure companies like AirTrunk deliver social value while catalysing economic growth.

Robin said, “With what’s coming up with the public cloud and AI, we haven’t even scratched the surface (of data centre growth in Asia Pacific).”

Robin highlighted the importance of delivering social value across every industry, particularly for data centres and shared AirTrunk’s commitment to making a positive impact and driving sustainability by setting tangible targets to drive accountability.

AirTrunk’s Sustainability Linked Loan was the largest for a data centre globally and includes KPIs on water, power, carbon, gender diversity and equity. The margin reduction AirTrunk receives for achieving KPIs is directly invested into the social impact program, delivering meaningful environmental and social benefits to our communities.

Robin also covered plans for battery storage and more renewable energy projects as well as recycled water to ensure AirTrunk continuously raises the bar on sustainability as the company grows in the region.
